India’s No.1 Sumit Nagal outplays 21-year-old Daniel Merida (Spain) on his home courts in the first round of the ATP 125 Valencia Challenger on clay.
[R32] (Q) Sumit Nagal (India, 289) d. Daniel Merida (Spain, 169) 6-3 6-1. Nagal will face another young Spanish talent, Pablo Llamas Ruiz (Spain, 202), in the second round tomorrow. Llamas Ruiz defeated Nagal in March 2025 in their only previous encounter.
