Sumit Nagal defeats top seed Jay Clarke in Finland
India’s No.1 Sumit Nagal upset top seed Jay Clarke in a two-hour battle at the ATP 75 Tampere Challenger on clay in Finland.
Clarke had previously won a clay-court Challenger title in May without dropping a set.
With this victory, Nagal improves his head-to-head record to 5–0 against Clarke. He will now face the winner of the match between Jesper de Jong (ATP 288) and Eero Vasa Ahti (ATP 1142) in the next round.
